Generational wisdom shared over a weekly meal. 
Over the course of three years, my Grandpa enjoyed writing self-taught English phrases, and their Chinese translated counterparts onto napkins for me during our weekly Dim Sum outing. They would contain advice to be considered in my own life. 

I documented his napkins, and a few of these photographs were showcased at Toronto Design Directory's 2018 edition of Swash and Serif  Typography Show.  I'm lucky my grandpa was able to see them on display at the event before he passed away in 2019.
