Beat Drop is a music school which specializes in teaching digital music production.

Problem — How do we connect music gear companies (ex. Roland, Korg) with Beat Drop’s teaching culture.

Insight Creating shareable content for social media which merges a specific music brand’s equipment to Beat Drop’s focus on digital music production and performance.

Execution We created a two part web series. For each episode, we highlighted a different brand (Korg, Roland, etc.)  by creating a performance video with their gear, and then an explanation video to lightheartedly summarize the music  production process around it.

In this episode of Limited Whit, I created an original song called “Cross the Lights” with the the Roland JP-08, Roland System1, and Roland TR-8. As the “Roland sound” has a legacy with 80’s era music anthems, I styled the visuals and song to mimic this period.

In this episode of Limited Whit, I re-interpreted and performed Niall Horan’s “This Town” with the Korg Volca Keys and Volca Beats. The visual concept was to create an “after prom” dream sequence.
